Hawks Take Game 1 From Miami Heat, 90-64
The Atlanta Hawks completely dominated game 1 of their playoff series against the Miami Heat, easily winning by 26 points. The Hawks defense held the Miami Heat to a season low 64 points - their previous low being 68. Dwayne Wade was held to only 19 points, 11 below his season average. The Heat only had 2 players score in double figures, while every Hawks starter scored in double figures. The Hawks were very impressive, and played with a much higher level of intensity than the Heat. They were jumping all over the court for loose balls, making every possession count, and Josh Smith delivered some majorly acrobatic slams. It was a lot of fun to watch, and hopefully they can keep it up in game 2. Game 2 will be in Atlanta on Wednesday night before the series shifts to Miami for games 3 and 4. I expect Miami to come out with a little more intensity than in Game 1, and the Hawks will have to match that intensity and keep playing like they did in Game 1, and we should be able to go to Miami with a 2-0 lead in the series.
