Hawks 2-0 After 23 Point Comeback
The Hawks opened their season with a very impressive road win against last season's division winning Orlando Magic. Then they followed that up with a 95-88 win at home against the Philadelphia 76ers, in a game that they trailed by as much as 23 points in the first half. The 2-0 start is the best for a Hawks team in 10 years. After watching the first 2 games, I can tell you I'm more excited about watching this team play than in any recent memory. While I've always looked forward to watching their next game, now I find myself looking forward to it in the same way I looked forward to each of the playoff games against the Celtics last season. They definitely have the potential of being a top 4 seeded team, and going deep into the playoffs. The whole team has been spectacular, but particularly Joe Johnson and Zaza Pachulia, who has been a whole different player since his skirmish with Kevin Garnett in the playoffs last season. The Hawks will travel next to New Orleans to play the Hornets on Wednesday, who last year tied for their division lead, and are currently 3-0. So this should be a very good test for the Hawks to see just how good they can be.
